Weave imaginative designs with wool and yarn. Children will enjoy this experience as they will need to think about a pattern, colours and as well as using their fine motor skills to create lovely designs. This cardboard weaving loom is made fromqualitypasteboard which is 600 gsm. As a general guideline here are some simple instructions. Youdon’thave to follow exactly this method. You start by attaching some yarn to the back of the cardboard weaving loom at one end (pointed ends). Run the wool through the “V” shape down to the opposite “V” at the other end. Loop the wool or yarn around the back of the pointy “V”, then run the wool back to the next “V” shape at the opposite end. Continue this until you have threaded every “V” shape. Then attach to the back of the loom temporarily with sticky tape or blue tack. To weave, working vertically you thread the wool through in a pattern of one over one under the previously weaved wool or yarn. Feel free to change colours at anytime by leaving a few centimeters at one end of the current yarn then start with the new colour, also leaving a few centimeters at the beginning. You can keep the ends temporarily stuck to the table with sticky tape or blue tack. Once you have finished creating your pattern, you then thread the ends down the sides of the yarn or along the top and tie a knot. Then you can unhook the yarn from the pointy ends. Cut the loops in half then tie them in a double knot. Packdoes notinclude yarn or needle. Size: 9.5 x 15cm x 1cm thick.
