The Families and Children set includes 30 beautifully illustrated wooden people featuring different races, ages and gender. This set is excellent for promoting social and imaginative play and allows the children to learn in a fun and hands on way. This set of families and children helps children to understand the families that existing in the villages in the world around them.

Children can easily relate to the children in the set and this is a great resource for talking about the different customs and beliefs that are common to different areas of the world. Each of these wooden pieces come with rounded edges that make them safe to handle and each have a wide base that make them easy to place on a table or the floor. These also make a great display piece and easily pack away when not in use. Ages 12+ months.

Engaging in role play is great for developing children communication skills. It encourages language development and develops social skills. Children learn to play together, share and cooperate. Listening to others, negotiation and co-operation all result from authentic role play. Dramatic and imaginative play also encourages children to become more confident and develop a stronger sense of identity.
